Hi, what can I say! Ive been working as a computer technician for the past 15-20 years. Several years ago I injured my back installing ATM’s and as a consequence I have suffered from constant pain ever since.

About 12 months ago I started getting into aerial photography platforms, building my own APM then onto Pixhawk, Nasa and buying a 3DR Solo.

I picked up a set of FatShark Base goggles that where on special, thinking ill use them one day with my 3DR Solo or something.

Several months later I built a racing quad and used my googles for the first time. OMG what fun this is…

After lots and lots of crashes and rebuilds I found that whilst I was wearing my goggles flying I was no longer in pain, I was so focused on what I was doing that I didn’t feel my pain anymore.

So really there is no looking back now, i just have to keep flying for both the shear fun and exhilaration of it, to the pain relief i get.
